1933 year. Famous cinematographer Karl Danham sails to the Indonesian island, intending to take pictures of the prehistoric land. The expedition detains the absence of the leading actress: all movie stars are afraid to work with the extreme Danham, and their agents avoid it. The situation saves the unemployed theatrical actress Anne Darrow, from penniless host assuming a risky proposition.
On the mysterious island, absent on the maps, the director wants to find a mythical creature - ancient Kong, a hero of ancient manuscripts and stories of travelers. Expectations of Danham are justified: a giant monster actually exists. The local native tribe trembles before the monster, defending itself from the island's master with a cyclopean wall and regular sacrifices. Delightful blonde Anne seems to the natives a suitable victim, therefore, hoping to condone Kong, they kidnap the actress. Quite unexpectedly formidable, the monster penetrates to the defenseless beauty with tender feelings.
