The film "Sanctum" - produced by Cameron dramatic thriller about the adventures of speleologists exploring the underwater cave.
The heroes of the film, adrenaline-thirsty divers, go to the last untouched place on Earth - the sacred cave of Esa-ala, almost inaccessible and surprisingly beautiful. A risky expedition is led by the world-respected speleologist Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh), who took on his son Josh (Rhys Wakefield), the financier Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) and his girlfriend Victoria (Alice Parkinson).
Anticipating the tremendous adventure, Frank's group begins the descent, but the underground walk turns into a catastrophe. A raging tropical storm causes flooding, and large water cuts off the researchers to the surface. From the underground trap, speleologists are forced to find another way, which is not easy: the team is hampered by carelessness, unpreparedness and disunity. Tragic accident - a torn hose - breaks Victoria's life, the conductor-islander that accompanied the expedition dies, friend and assistant Frank drown. The dark depths of the cave, which do not call speleologists, turn out to be a labyrinth without an exit.
