Eighties of the past century. A small quiet American town of Crown Heights. Suddenly, a man was killed here. A very young black guy, Colin Warner, was detained, who is suspected of this crime. The young man is not guilty, he just became the most suitable role for the cruel murderer. The judicial bureaucratic machine has long rotted and malfunctions. Evidence for him is not so much as it should, but the detectives Rafaelo and Kassel believe that this is not so important. In their opinion, it was Warner who shot at a man. The district attorney Maffeo quickly brought charges, and Judge Marcy made a severe sentence. Warner's attorneys file cassation complaints, but all in vain. It takes almost ten years. All the same as before believe that Colin is guilty. Even the convict has already lost all hope for justice. Nobody is looking for a real killer. As described in the movie "Crown Heights", only Warner's old friend, Carl King finds the secret of truth. He opposes the vicious system that condemned the innocent. This is very important for Karl.
