“Darling” is a Mickey Keating movie, a noir-style thriller.
The heroine of the scary movie is a young girl who really needed a job. And she finds her: an elderly, fairly wealthy lady hires the heroine as a caretaker. True, the hostess will be absent for the duration of the work, but for the girl this option is even preferable. The heroine is happy to receive such an easy, highly paid job and, when the lady leaves the mansion, gets down to business. But in the evening she becomes very scared: someone lives in the house. The girl does not see him, but she feels.
This someone is clearly a ghost, who considers himself a full owner here. Soon, the otherworldly owner of the mansion arranges for the girl such a “fun” life that she easily turns into a crazy person who is afraid of her own shadow. A ghost walks freely along corridors and spacious rooms, opens drawers in a closet, throws clothes out of closets, moves objects, turns electricity on and off. Will the heroine of the “black” film survive hell?
