The 1408 film was based on the story of a famous writer, Mike Enslin. It turns out that for a long time this person is busy composing various novels that belong to the horror genre. Mike constantly writes about various poltergeists, as well as unusual phenomena that, according to eyewitnesses, occur in hotels. Despite the fact that Mike is engaged in such activities, he himself does not believe in the existence of supernatural forces. The character is sure that this is one solid fiction, and the people are accustomed to it because they lack something extreme. And once a moment came when the writer decided to go to the Dolphin Hotel. It turns out that there exists the number 1408, in which for many years there has not been a single guest. The manager of this hotel, Gerald Olin, discourages our hero from settling: past guests claimed that ghosts and other incomprehensible for them dwell there. But Mike remains adamant, as if he is being dragged into this number, and he cannot explain why. Then the hero did not know what a nightmare for him to live in this room.
